About the scholarship
The Bheki Mlangeni Scholarship was established by Cheadle Thompson & Haysom in memory of Bhekisizwe Godfrey Mlangeni, a human rights lawyer and activist who was assassinated in 1991.
The scholarship supports law students who share his commitment to using the law in the service of justice, democracy and human dignity.
Who can apply
South African citizens registered for, or entering, an LLB degree at a South African university.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need, a strong academic record and a clear commitment to public interest or human rights law.
How to apply
Submit your academic transcripts, a motivation letter setting out your interest in public interest law, and proof of registration or acceptance.
